ROBIN

Robin is our boss lady extraordinaire. Her enthusiasm and sense of humor create a fun environment within the shop. She has been in the music business for over 20 years and is very knowledgeable about everything from band instruments to ethnic hand drums. She is also a gifted guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and she currently plays in the group The Bluegrass Revolution. In her free time, she also raises two kids and her dog Henry. Read her story here...

DIMITRI

Dimitri grew up in Berkeley, CA, and has lived in the Bay Area throughout his life. After taking piano lessons as a kid, he began experimenting with songwriting and learning new instruments. Nowadays, he enjoys recording songs in his home studio, and also spends his free time writing stories and filming comedy videos. He has been at Rockin’ Robbie’s for multiple years and is very knowledgeable about the shop’s processes, so he is always happy to answer any questions you may have!

MARC

Marc has lived in the Bay Area for the past nine years. Throughout his time in the area, he has been involved in the live music scene. He enjoys writing songs for various local bands and he loves supporting concerts, whether he is playing in the band or just attending. Marc's primary focus is the bass guitar, however, he is well versed in many instruments. Here at Rockin’ Robbie’s, he is around nearly every day of the week, so he is almost always available to assist customers.

GABE Gabe grew up in Berkeley, CA. After a brief career playing french horn (4th - 6th grade), he abandoned the instrument in favor of another - the infamous 5 string banjo. A ragtime song called “hoop-e-kack” piqued his interest in the banjo, and when his grandpa mailed him an old banjo from his attic in Massachusetts, things only got worse from there! 5 years of bluegrass banjo lessons, numerous friendships, piles of broken strings and countless irritated neighbors later, Gabe is still gleefully hacking away at his old banjo (Now nicknamed “ilinx” after the term for a pleasant change in one’s mood).
